Partner Visa (Subclass 820/801 & 309/100)

For partners of Australian citizens, permanent residents, or eligible NZ citizens.

Prospective Marriage Visa (300): For fiance(e)s to come to Australia to marry.
Partner Visa: Two-stage process (Temporary then Permanent).
De Facto Partners: Usually must be in a de facto relationship for at least 12 months immediately before applying.

Options for parents to live in Australia permanently or temporarily.

Contributory Parent Visa (143): Higher cost, faster processing.
Non-Contributory (103): Lower cost, very long waiting times (Home Affairs currently estimates about 42 years for new applications).
Temporary Parent Visa (870): Stay up to 3 or 5 years.

Child Visas (Subclass 101 & 802)

Home Affairs lists these permanent child visas, depending on where the child is when the application is made.

Child visa (101): Lets a child outside Australia move to Australia to live with their parents. Home Affairs
Child visa (802): Allows a child to stay in Australia permanently and live with their parents. The child must be in Australia when the application is made and when the decision is made. Home Affairs
Age: The child must be under 18, or aged 18 to 24 as a full time student who depends financially on their parent, or over 18 and unable to work due to a disability.
Sponsor: The child must be sponsored by an eligible parent or their parent's spouse or de facto partner.
Dependency: Home Affairs also says the child must be dependent on their Australian parent and must not be engaged, married or have a de facto partner.
Adopted children (101): An adopted child must have been adopted before they turned 18 by a parent who was not an Australian citizen, permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen at the time of adoption.

Aged Dependent Relative visa (subclass 114): For a single older person who relies on a relative living in Australia for financial support. Home Affairs
Carer visa (subclasses 116 and 836): Lets you move to Australia to care for someone with a long-term medical condition who has no reasonable access to care options in Australia. Home Affairs
