Founded in 1853, Manhattan University is a private Catholic institution located in the Riverdale neighborhood of the Bronx, New York. Accredited by MSCHE, it is known for its strong programs in engineering, business, and science in one of the world's most competitive job markets. Integral CPT Policy

CPT at Manhattan University is available from Year 2 onwards. Students cannot work on CPT during their first academic year.

CPT Eligibility: CPT at Manhattan University becomes available after the successful completion of one full academic year. Students cannot apply for CPT during their first year of enrollment.

CPT Type: Only part-time CPT (fewer than 20 hours per week) is available during regular semesters. Full-time CPT is restricted to approved annual break periods only.

Authorization Process: CPT is approved on a semester-by-semester basis. Each semester requires a new CPT request submitted to the DSO. Approval is not automatic and is reviewed case by case.

CPT Course Requirement: CPT authorization is tied to a mandatory 1-credit internship course which carries an additional cost of $1,000 per semester.

Regulatory Compliance: CPT is authorized under 8 CFR 214.2(f)(10)(i). The DSO manages the SEVIS process in accordance with federal regulations.

Program Format

Hybrid Format

Students take two 3-credit courses per semester (6 credits total). One course requires a 3-day on-campus session for one weekend per semester at the Riverdale, NY campus. The other is delivered fully online.

Program Durations

MBA: 6 semesters, 36 credits

MS Organizational Leadership: 5 semesters, 30 credits

MS Computer Science: 5 semesters, 30 credits. Note: MS CS courses run concurrently (14 weeks) vs consecutively (7 weeks) for MBA and MS Org Leadership.

Virtual Sessions

Weekly synchronous virtual sessions are required for both courses.
